BELD: What You Need to Know
Contraindications
If you have found breast lumps, cysts, or any other symptoms on the breast or other parts of your body, they should be thoroughly checked by your physician or a medical doctor.
If necessary, you may need to have further clinical tests before undergoing BELD treatment.
If you have cancer or are undergoing treatment for cancer, it is your responsibility to seek advice from your consulting doctor before you receive BELD treatments.
If you have any of the following contraindications, you may not be able to do this treatment:
- Breast lumps, cysts or any other symptoms on the breast or other parts of the body
- Have cancer or are undergoing treatment for cancer
- Pregnant (unless referred by consulting Doctor)
- Electrical implant or pacemaker
- Have had recent surgery (within the last 4-6 weeks)
- Pins/ staples/ or metal plates anywhere in the body
- Significant trauma recently (auto accident/ fall)
Before your Session:
- Avoid lotion/oil, deodorant, perfume, makeup. This prevents the light technique from being blocked to achieve maximum benefits. These skin products could be otherwise absorbed.
- Avoid drinking 1 hour before session for comfort while lying down.
- Avoid irritants like: coffee, soda, sugar, alcohol, etc., the day of the appointment.
The Session:
The client fully undresses and lies on a massage table under a sheet/blanket in a warm room with soft lights. Over the course of the next 50-80 minutes, the practitioner uses the “Inspiration," a hand-held wand that is lightly moved over the skin, producing a negative energy field, which allows the blood and lymph fluid to circulate freely. The therapist uses the Inspiration want to deliver the bio-electric current through slow, subtle, and gentle sweeping movements. This motion mimics the natural rhythmic pumping of the lymphatic system. The result can enhance recovery rates by loosening proteins that are stagnant, causing retained fluid and congested areas to flow. Stagnation is reversed, and the lymph system is now free to perform its normal cleansing functions! In addition, the session is enhanced with the use of an amethyst crystal BioMat, which is a combination of far infrared rays, negative ions, and the conductive properties of amethyst channels.
The BELD, along with the use of the Amethyst Crystal BioMat, essential oil aromatherapy, attention to the mind-body connection, and the serene atmosphere of ambient lighting and soothing music all contribute to the BELD session being a truly restorative, one-of-a-kind experience at HEAL Wellness Center.
How Many Sessions Do You Need?
BELD may be done every other day to help a congested system. It can also be taken as needed or as desired for immune strength or relaxation. For maximum benefit of a lymphatic cleansing, we recommend Bio-Electric Lymphatic Drainage followed by Colon Hydrotherapy, iR Sauna, and/or ionic foot cleanse. These combinations help in better cleansing by first breaking up toxins and then eliminating them from your body through your body's exit pathways.
